Elemental Forest Reference

The following film is a collection of clips shot by Louise Beer, in and around the Hinewai Reserve, Canterbury, New Zealand. We would use shots similar to these and also get closer to the forest using macro and telephoto lenses to film in detail the flowers and animals.

This is a short example of a piece which encompasses ideas we will use in composing our sound.

A Memory of Darkness

A long sound piece Louise Beer recorded as part of her residency with the Delfina Foundation at the end of last year. It includes recordings of bird song in New Zealand with manipulated sound similar to how we would process the sounds from the Forest of Dean.
